Why is the monthly ticket price moving to £5 per month?
To raise more money for your cause with a slight increase to players; maximizing the impact to your fundraising.
When will this go live?
1st April 2025.
Does this only impact Direct Debit players?
No, it impacts anyone with a Direct Debit or recurring debit card payment.
Will the lottery website be updated to reflect this?
Yes, the information will be updated in the checkout process and all other relevant pages
Does this mean an extra ticket for the player?
Yes, tickets will remain at £1 each however, in a 4 Saturday month they will receive an extra ticket for the 4th draw.
For the extra tickets, how will their numbers be decided?
Players will be given a random selection for the extra ticket
Why can’t players choose their own numbers for their extra tickets?
They can change these however, they will be assigned at random to begin with
For the extra tickets, is there more chance to win?
The player’s chances increase but the prize odds remain the same
How does this impact funds raised for causes?
It will increase! Operators and causes still receive the same % split as per your lottery site (per ticket)
When and how will players be informed about the change?
We will be sending an email to all players. We will provide at least 10 business days’ notice as per the direct debit guarantee
Who will handle any communication with players or causes?
Our support team will handle all queries from players and causes. Support@ email address and phone number is at the bottom of your lottery website and on emails.
Do we need to inform the Gambling Commission or licensing authority?
No. The payment plan charge is not set out in the game rules. As there is no change to the game rules, the Gambling Commission or licensing authority do not need to be informed. The rules do however refer to the price on the website and we will update your site along with the player check-out process.
Will there be a change to our contract with Gatherwell?
No. The price of each ticket and the percentage share of proceeds will not change. Gatherwell will continue to manage your lottery and provide services in accordance with our existing contract.
For the additional tickets, what is the split of £1?
Exactly the same. Causes will receive the same % as per your lottery site.
Will players be reminded about responsible gambling?
Yes, we will be including responsible gambling messaging within all communications to players.
